What Are Cargo Desiccant Bags? 

Desiccants work by actively drawing moisture from the surrounding air, effectively lowering the dew point—the temperature at which condensation forms. By reducing the likelihood of condensation, these cargo moisture control solutions help prevent “container rain,” a common cause of moisture-related cargo damage during transport and storage.

What Happens Inside a Container During Transit?

During transit, containerized cargo is exposed to significant temperature fluctuations. As temperatures rise, the air inside the container absorbs more moisture. When the temperature drops, the air’s capacity to hold moisture decreases, causing excess humidity to condense on surfaces—resulting in potential damage.
